GOLF FOR LIFE 2023 

The 8th edition of LCSS’s annual Charity Golf Tournament, Golf For Life!, was held on 14 July 2023 at the Singapore Island Country Club. With the generous support of our sponsors, donors, and volunteers, we raised over $240,000, which will go towards helping over 900 children and youths from vulnerable backgrounds, empowering them to be the best they can be! Guest of Honour graced the event, Mr Seah Kian Peng (Speaker of Parliament and MP for Marine Parade GRC) and Special Guest, ESM Mr Goh Chok Tong.

Event Highlights

The evening began with a heartwarming handbell performance by the children from our Hougang Life Student Care (LSC) centre. Their enchanting melody filled the room with a sense of wonder and reflected their genuine enthusiasm.

The energy soared as our children from MightyKids, Families, and Community (MKFC) programme took the stage. Their vibrant dance performance was a dynamic showcase of joy and determination, captivating the audience and drawing enthusiastic applause.

A poignant highlight of the event was the inspiring story shared by Yazid, an ex-client of our FOCY programme. Yazid recounted his challenging journey as a primary school student facing significant adversity when his father was arrested, which brought financial and emotional struggles to his family. His story of resilience and hope, supported by our programme, underscored the profound impact of community support and the vital importance of our mission.

These highlights not only celebrated the talents and achievements of our participants but also reinforced the power of community and support in overcoming life’s challenges.
