This year, we are organising a Christmas carnival for our children & youth, “Love Came Down at Christmas” on 7 Dec 2024, Saturday, from, 4.00 – 8.30pm at Gardens By The Bay
Token of Love for our Children
Join us in spreading joy this Christmas season by making a donation. No amount is too small and will go a long way toward supporting our children and youth. As the old adage goes “It takes a village to raise a child”, and this is so true for children from low-income vulnerable families with limited resources who need even more support from all of us in the community.
Purpose of the Event
We hope to bring love, cheer and hope to our vulnerable children and families. This Carnival also gives them a chance to showcase their talents, help build their self-confidence, and develop their potential. We also hope to raise funds to help defray the operating expenses of our five core programmes and provide a platform for our graduated clients (Alumni) to give back to the community.

Sally’s Journey to Confidence
Sally, a nine-year-old girl, did not come from a typical Singaporean family. Her mother worked multiple part-time jobs to support three young children while also shouldering the role of breadwinner and caregiver, as her father was serving a prison sentence. Living in public rental housing, Sally was initially very shy, often hiding behind her mother when she first joined Life Community.
Today, she has blossomed into a curious, bright child who eagerly embraces learning and enjoys school. Life Community’s timely intervention played a crucial role in Sally’s transformation. She was provided with a reading mentor engaged in prosocial activities like family bonding sessions, and was surrounded by a nurturing community of friends and social workers who served as positive role models.
