Vision, Mission & History
Life Community Services Society (LCSS) is a charitable organization and a member of the National Council of Social Service (NCSS). Established in 1996, we are currently serving over 1,000 beneficiaries through our Life Student Care, Friends of Children, Friends of Youth, MightyKids, Families & Community, EduGrow for Brighter Tomorrows and KidSTART programmes.
At Life Community, we provide our children and youth with a place where they are cared for. A place where they will find love, hope, kindness, respect, provision, and acceptance. A place where lives are being rebuilt, destinies restored, and dreams birthed. A place where there are not just ears to listen to them, but hearts that reach out and hands that make a difference.
We endeavour to raise them to the level where they can discover their potential and talents, stretch themselves , and eventually soar to their dreams.
OUTREACH to the COMMUNITY
To EMPOWER CHILDREN and FAMILIES through CARE and MENTORING
OUR CORE VALUES
OUR VALUE PROPOSITION
We are servant leaders mentoring leaders of tomorrow. We are voices for the children, especially for those from vulnerable families. We serve with compassion and purpose.
Satisfaction and Growth
We find a sense of fulfilment in playing an important part to shape and transform children’s lives, seeing their potentials unfold and developed to the fullest. At the same time, we learn and re-discover our innate values to the society.
Empowerment and Teamwork
We work together respectfully as a team, being open to suggestions and feedback to reach our fullest potential daily.
OUR STRATEGIC DIRECTION
LCSS will continue to review, enhance and grow our four core programmes to ensure value add and to deliver greater impact to our beneficiaries, while maintaining a focus on mentoring children with the support of a core pool of consistent and committed volunteers. We aim to be at the forefront of child mentoring excellence. In addition, LCSS will also look at introducing programmes for children between the ages of five to six years old (Kcare) in the next three years.
