Life Student Care
To provide quality student care services to primary school children by focusing on the total development of the child in a safe and congenial ‘home’ environment.
Our holistic ‘SPICES’ programme emphasises on the total development of the child with activities focused on the Social, Physical, Intellectual, Creative, Emotional and Spiritual (moral) aspects of well being. In addition to supervised homework and assessment work, our curriculum includes character building, phonics and reading, journaling and creative activities.
Our character building curriculum is adapted from the “Character First Education” programme, an established programme in the US. Lessons are taught through stories, interactive games and situational learning. Examples of character qualities taught are: attentiveness, obedience, and truthfulness.
Phonics course is offered to Primary One students at our Centres as we believe that learning phonics will help the child learn to read and spell. We are very privileged to have experienced teachers from Lorna Whiston to develop the lessons and train our teachers.
Journaling: Time is set aside for our students on a weekly basis to journal to encourage them to reflect and express their thoughts. This activity would also develop their writing skills. Through the journaling, teachers also have a better understanding of their students.
Creative Activities: Students are encouraged to express themselves through creative activities such as Art & Craft, singing, cooking, drama and dance.
Tuition is offered as a paid option.
Our holiday programme includes theme-based project work and educational field trips.
